Within Jim Corbett National Park is where this dam is situated. Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited owns this dam. The Ramganga Dam was built starting in 1961 and was finished in 1974.

The Ramganga Multipurpose Project, an irrigation and hydroelectric project, includes the dam. It delivers water for irrigating 57,500 ha (142,086 acres) of farmland and feeds a 198 MW power station.

Corbett Falls: This wide waterfall, around 25 kilometres from Ramnagar, is the ideal place to relax and take in nature apart from the monotony of daily life. The waterfalls are at a short 2 kilometres from the main road and are home to a beautiful teak wood forest and various birds.
